Résumé en anglais |
The presence of two (or at least one) eyestalks is required for inducing a complete, monoecdysial metamorphosis in Palaemonetes varians . This induction is performed, at 20 degree C, in about 20 hours situated on either side of the third larval moult when metamorphosis occurs at the fourth one. The mechanism of induction is discussed. |
