Résumé en anglais |
the author describes the juvenile stages of the P.cyanocephala Krefft, 1967. He shows that they differ from the other juvenile searsiids of the North-Eastern and Middle-Eastern Atlantic mainly by the yellowish-white pigmentation sp otter with very dark-coloured dots visible only on the encephalon of the youngest specimens (24 mm) and then over the whole body of the bigger ones (33 mm). Moreover the observations made on the light-organs development of the P.cyanocephala confirm those made on all the spp of this fam in possession of such organs. During growth, the light-organs of juvenile stages either lose their importance while changing orientation or they disappear, while a light-organ of different orientation appears in their place. |
