L'impossibilité d'élever les huîtres C. gigas et O. edulis dans certaines rivières de Bretagne nous a conduit à réaliser des essais avec C. angulata et des hybrides obtenus de croisements entre cette espèce et C. gigas. Les résultats ont montré que toutes les souches testées sont sensibles au chambrage de à l'action du TBT et que leur croissance est inférieure à celle de C. gigas. Enfin l'Iridovirose décrite en France est toujours présente et affecte encore C. angulata. |

The inability to rear the oysters C. gigas and O. edulis in certain Brittany waters has prompted us to conduct breeding trials with C. angulata
C. gigas and their hybrids. Results have revealed that all the strains tested were sensitive to Tributyl tin (TBT), showing atnormal shell thickness and their growth was lower than C. gigas. In addition, C. angulata was still affected by the presence of the Iridovirus in France. |
