Résumé en anglais |
The determination of the pollutant charge of the domestic sewage and the industrial wasted waters shows that, in the Abidjan urban area, the Marcory Bay receives 242 l/sec./km super(2) of wasted waters, the Cocody Bay 120 l/sec./km super(2) and the Bietri Bay 85 l/sec./km super(2). The bottom waters oxygen saturation percentage of these different bays is near zero during the low water season. A benthic macrofauna sampling showed that the biotopes are not azoic. Pachymelania aurita), Tympanotonus fuscastus , which are considered as pollution indicating species, were found in most of the polluted bays. |
