AB Cette communication donne un bref portrait de la conception à l'aide de matériaux composites dans l'industrie du bateau de plaisance. Le dimensionnement des voiliers et des bateaux à moteur est décrit et les propriétés des matériaux sont discutées du point de vue de l'architecte naval.  
AB This paper gives a brief overview of design with composite materials for the pleasure boat industry. The dimensioning of sail and motor boats is described and material properties are discussed from the point of view of a naval architect.
