The fingerlings are nursed for a month in nylon nursing cages. Then, the juvenile fish are reared in culture cages which can be stationary or floating. The cage is usually 5 x 5 x 2 metres. The stocking density is around 500 to 2000 fish per cage. The survival rate is approximately 80%. The selling price at the culture site is 80 baht and 250 baht per kg for sea bass and grouper respectively. The culture method and economics of culture are explained.
