AB Du Cotentin à la frontière belge, la pêche artisanale est devenue un acteur socio-économique important, qui vit, pour l'essentiel, d'une exploitation prédominante de la Manche orientale. Confrontées récemment à une situation de pleine exploitation et de cohabitation difficile entre métiers, les flottilles artisanales sont au coeur de multiples préoccupations de gestion régionales, nationales et communautaires. Depuis 1985, un programme a permis de progresser dans la connaissance de ces pêcheries complexes par l'amélioration des statistiques de pêche, la caractérisation des flottilles et de leurs activités, un bilan des connaissances sur l'état des ressources. Cette synthèse décrit, (pour 1987-1988), la nature des apports régionaux et leurs relations avec les flottilles. Ces dernières sont analysées par régions et par métiers. L'analyse complétée par un bref rappel de certains principes de gestion et de quelques mesures réglementaires qui s'y rapporte. 
AB From Normandy to Belgium bordary, the coastal fishery became during the ten last years a significant social and economic actor, which mostly lives by predominant exploitation of Eastern Channel. Recently discovering a situation of resource overexploitation and a difficult cohabitation between "metiers", these coastal fleets are in the heart of various preoccupations of managment at regional, national and european levels. Since 1985, a coordinated programme (including Boulogne and Ouistreham) allowed to progress in the knowledge of complex fisheries through : improvement of statistics, characterisation of coastal fleets and their activity, asses-ment of the knowledge on the resources.This synthesis describes, for 1987-1988, the quality of the regional landings and their relationship with the différents fleets. These fleets are also examined per area and main "métier"; this analysis being completed by a brief chapter about some management general rules and some regulation measures.
