AB L 'objectif de l'étude est d'améliorer la connaissance sur les activités de pêche côtières  dans le domaine halieutiques et économiques. Elle comporte trois volets : la pêche professionnelle embarquée, la pêche professionnelle à pied et la pêche plaisancière cette dernière faisant l'objet d'un rapport indépendant (Lesueur et Drouot). La méthodologie appliquée est basée sur la mise en place d'enquêtes spécifiques auprès des navires qui ont fréquenté le golfe du Morbihan en 2001. L'accent a été mis sur l'identification des métiers pratiqués dans cette zone, sur la description de ces activités et de leur intensité ainsi que  sur  l'analyse des performances économiques de ces flottilles.    Les modes de gestion, la réglementation de la pêche à pied sur les gisements classés  ainsi que leurs impacts sur l'environnement font l'objet d'une description détaillée. Les métiers pratiqués au sein du golfe du Morbihan sont très variés. En effet, si l'on se réfère au nombre total de mois d'exercice de ces métiers 8 d'entre eux contribuent à plus de 80% de l'activité totale dans le golfe du Morbihan. Une cartographie saisonnière des zones de pêche a été réalisée. Cette étude à mis en évidence la prédominance des activités de pêche à la main en apnée pour l'exploitation de la palourde japonaise du point de vue de la population impliquée et du poids économique de cette activité. En effet, elle concerne 304 marins pour une production de 800 tonnes et un chiffre d'affaire estimé à 4 millions d'Euros.  L'ensemble des connaissance acquises permet d'envisager la mise en oeuvre d'applications plus spécifiques notamment en terme de scénarios de gestion de pêcheries à l'échelle de la zone. 
AB The objective of the study is to improve knowledge of coastal fishing activity in the halieutic and economic spheres. It consists of three sections: On-board professional fishing, professional shellfish gathering, and leisure fishing, this last one being the subject of an independent report (Lesueur and Drouot). The methodology applied is based on implementation of specific surveys about the ships that frequented the Gulf of Morbihan in 2001. The emphasis was placed on identifying the occupations practiced in this zone, on describing these activities and their intensity as well as on analysing the economic performance of these fleets. The management methods, regulation of shellfish gathering on listed sites as well as their impacts on the environment are the subject of a detailed description. The occupations practiced within the Gulf of Morbihan are quite varied. If we look at the total number of months that these occupations are practiced, 8 of them provide more than 80% of the total business activity in the Gulf of Morbihan. A seasonal mapping of fishing zones was created. This study highlighted the predominance of the business of hand fishing with a snorkel for exploiting the Japanese clam from the point of view of the population involved and the economic weight of this business. It involves in fact 304 sailors for a production of 800 tons and a turnover estimated at 4 million euros. The body of knowledge acquired makes it possible to envisage the implementation of more specific applications, in particular in terms of scenarios of fisheries management in proportion to the zone's size.
