AB Le programme de recherche développé dans le cadre de l'étude de projet du site de Paluel avait permis de mettre en évidence, à proximité de l'émissaire de la Durdent, une pêcherie de truites de mer aux filets fixes sur la zone de balancement des marées. Cette activité très pratiquée en Manche orientale et sur le littoral du sud de la mer du Nord, non seulement pour la capture de certaines espèces  amphibiotiques mais également d'espèces strictement marines, représente une cause de mortalité non négligeable pour les populations de salmonidés lors de leurs migrations côtières. L'études engagée sur cette pêcherie en 1980 a pour but d'estimer l'importance des captures de salmonidés à proximité du site, en particulier des captures de truites de mer, et d'acquérir pour cette espèce une connaissance plus complète sur sa pêche, sa biologie et son comportement. 
AB The research programme developed within in the framework of the project study of the Paluel site allowed us to highlight, near the drainage channel of the Durdent, a sea trout fishery using fixed nets in the area of the swaying of the tides. This activity, very much in use in the eastern English Channel and along the southern shoreline of the North Sea, not only for catching certain amphibiotic species but also species that are strictly of the sea, represents a sizeable cause of the mortality rate for salmonid populations during their coastal migrations. The studies begun on this fishery in 1980 have as their goal to assess the size of the salmonid catches near the site, especially of sea trout, and to acquire more complete knowledge of the catch, biology and behaviour of this species.
