AB (OCR non controlé) Les biologistes ont présenté les conclusions de leurs travaux. Certains travaillent à l'identification des causes des difficultés que connaît la profession (mortalités, allongement des cycles de croissance, épizooties, pollutions,...). D'autres visent à ouvrir des perspectives nouvelles à la profession au travers de la gestion des stocks de coquillages, des travaux en génétique et/ou de la diversification des cultures. Chacun de ces aspects se traduit par des conséquences économiques (coûts, revenus, rentabilité,...) et sociales (emploi, temps de travail, ...) au niveau de la profession et de l'économie locale. Ce sont ces conséquences que nous voulons évaluer. Pour cela les objectifs du programme "Etudes socio-économiques en conchyliculture" sont de définir les éléments permettant d'effectuer :  1) un bilan de "santé économique" du secteur au niveau des bassins conchylicoles, 2) et une évaluation de l'impact économique et social d'actions collectives destinées à améliorer les conditions de la production et de la commercialisation.  Notre travail se base sur un constat général des tendances qui affectent la conchyliculture et une analyse théorique pour l'orienter.
AB The biologists have presented the conclusions of their study. Some work on identifying the causes of the difficulties that the profession is experiencing (death rates, lengthening of growth cycles, epizootics, contamination...). Others are aiming to open up new prospects to the profession through management of shellfish stocks, genetic research and/or diversification of the farms. Each of these aspects is manifested by economic (costs, income, profitability ...) and social (employment, hours of work ...) consequences across the profession and the local economy. It is these consequences that we want to evaluate. To do that, the objectives of the "Socio-economic studies in shellfish farming" programme are to define the factors making it possible to create:  1) an assessment of the sector's "economic health" covering all shellfish-farming tanks, and 2) an evaluation of the economic and social impact of collective actions meant to improve production and marketing conditions.  Our work is based on a general report of the trends that affect shellfish farming and a theoretical analysis for giving it direction.
