AB La transmission d'un certain nombre de polluants depuis les terres agricoles jusqu'au littoral a été étudiée dans le cadre de ce programme, à la fois par des travaux généraux et par des investigations de terrain. Cellesci se sont déroulées dans deux bassins versants tests (fig. 1). L'un, le Coët- Dan, est équipé de dispositifs de mesure variés depuis l'année 1971 et fait l'objet de suivis depuis cette date. L'autre, le Kerharo, n'avait fait l'objet d'aucune étude jusqu'à présent. La répartition des thèmes de recherche entre ces deux bassins versants a été la suivante. Dans le Coët-Dan, ont été traités le transfert des pesticides et des bactéries d'intérêt sanitaire, les apports aux champs d'azote et de phosphore par les cultures et les élevages, le transfert de ces nutriments dans les horizons de surface et le ttansfert de l'azote en profondeur. Dans le Kerharo, ont été traités la modélisation du transfert de l'azote dans les niveaux du sol non saturés d'eau, la dénitrification dans les zones humides (naturelle et artificielle), l'hydrogéologie et les transferts souterrains d'azote ainsi que les bactéries de dénitrification profonde, la relation entre les flux azotés printaniers à la côte et les marées vertes sur les plages de la baie de Douarnenez. AB The transmission of several contaminants from agricultural land to the shoreline has been studied within the scope of this programme, both by general research and by field investigations. The field investigations took place in two test catchment areas (fig. 1). One of them, Coët-Dan, has been fitted out with various measuring devices since the year 1971 and has been monitored since that date. The other one, Kerharo, has never been studied until now. The research topics were distributed between these two catchment areas in the following way. At Coët-Dan, what was handled were the transfer of pesticides and bacteria of sanitary interest, the nitrogen and phosphorus supplied to the fields by farms, the transfer of these nutrients into the surface horizons and the transfer of nitrogen into the deep soil. At Kerharo, what was handled were modelling of the nitrogen transfer in ground levels not saturated with water, denitrification in damp areas (natural and artificial), hydrogeology and underground transfers of nitrogen as well as deep denitrification bacteria, the relationship between springtime nitrogenous streams to the coast and the green tides on the beaches of Douarnenez Bay.
