Abstract To develop mussel culture in tropical environement, trials for mass production of spat of Mytilus viridis were conducted at the Centre Océanographique du Pacifique (COP) of the Centre National pour l'Exploitation des Océans (CNEXO) in Tahiti. This paper presents the results obtained in 800 1 and 10 m3 larval rearing tank with an initial density of 2.500 - 3.000 larvae per liter. [NOT CONTROLLED OCR]
