AB Des observations sur la biologie et la pêche du maquereau ont été faites au laboratoire de Boulogne-sur-Mer, à bord du « Président-Théodore-Tissier » et de chalutiers boulonnais, de 1950 à 1957, Ces observations font l'objet de la présente étude dans laquelle, après avoir résumé rapidement les connaissances actuelles sur la biologie de ce poisson, nous avons rassemblé nos principales données sur les lieux et époques de chalutage en Mer du Nord et en Mer Celtique et les résultats de nos recherches biologiques.
AB Some observations on the biology and the fishery of mackerel have been conducted in the laboratory of Boulogne-sur-Mer, on board the "Président-Théodore-Tissier" and some trawlers from this harbour, from 1950 to 1957. They are the focus of this study in which, after a brief summary of the current knowledge on the biology of this fish, we gathered our main data on the trawling areas and times in the North Sea and the Celtic Sea as well as the results of our biological studies.
