AB Les observations sur la production du naissain ont pu, cette année, s'effectuer d'une façon plus rationnelle et suivant le plan que nous nous étions tracé. Elles furent facilitées par l'A.O.B.A. dont la nouvelle pinasse à moteur Ostrea, mise à notre disposition, nous permit de faire, du 11 mai au 9 août, une vingtaine de sorties, totalisant 71 dragages dans les différents chenaux du Bassin.  D'autre part, les températures furent relevées au poste d'Eyrac, de la façon indiquée l'année dernière. La densité moyenne de l'eau de mer a été prise journellement pendant toute cette période.  Enfin, nous avons enregistré les chutes de pluie au pluviomètre du poste météorologique de la Société scientifique d'Arcachon.  Nous avons condensé ces quatre éléments d'information dans un même graphique ; les quantités de larves et les densités y sont représentées par leurs moyennes hebdomadaires. (Voir graphique.) AB This year, the observations of the spat production were carried out in a more rational way and according to the agenda we had established. They were made easier by the A.O.B.A. which lent us its new pinnace, equipped with an Ostrea, thus enabling us to go out to sea about twenty times between May 11th and August 9th, and to carry out 71 dredgings in the different fair-ways of the Basin. Moreover, the temperatures were taken at the Eyrac station, following the same method as described last year. The average water density was also monitored on a daily basis over this period. Lastly, we recorded the rainfalls on the pluviometer of the weather station of the Arcachon Scientific Society. We gathered these four elements under the same graph; the amount of larvae and the densities are read using their weekly average. (See graph.)
