Résumé en anglais |
Japanese scallop Patinopecten yessoensis J. is one of the few examples of successful restocking of a marine population. Juveniles collected (on natural grounds) in almost unlimited number are used either for hanging or bottom culture. In the first case animals are kept in pearlnets until commercial size, in the second one, juveniles are released in the sea when vulnerable stages of early life are over. Remaining natural stocks are very scarce and limited. |
