AB Depuis le début de l'épizootie de l'huître plate Ostrea edulis sur la Côte Atlantique (COMPS, 1970), il a été constaté que la parasitose ne se développait pas en Méditerranée chez les huîtres de l'Etang de Thau, bien qu'une partie importante de la culture soit faite à partir de jeunes huîtres provenant de Bretagne. Des examens épisodiques néanmoins ont permis de déceler très rarement la présence de Marteilia refringens chez des huîtres de l'étang.
AB Since the beginning of the epizooty of the flat oyster Ostrea edulis on the Atlantic coast (Comps, 1970), it has been observed that the parasitosis did not develop in the Mediterranean Sea in oysters from the Thau lagoon even though a large part of the culture is made up of young oysters from Brittany. However, some episodic studies only rarely found the presence of Marteilia refringens in the oysters from the lagoon.
