AB L'introduction de la crépidule Crepidula fornicata sur les côtes de France s'est effectuée en plusieurs phases d'inégale amplitude. Les deux plus importantes sont dues au transport par les coques de bateaux alliés, à la fin de la deuxième guerre mondiale et à l'introduction volontaire, durant les années 1970, de l'huître japonaise Crassostrea gigas. Un bilan actuel de sa répartition montre qu'elle est présente de la Mer du Nord aux rives de Méditerranée, engendrant parfois des situations de conflit, du fait de sa forte densité.
AB The introduction of the limpet Crepidula fornicata on French coasts occurred through a number of stages of unequal amplitude. The two main stages are the result of a) its transportation on the hulls of the Allies ships during WWII, and b) the voluntary introduction of the Japanese oyster Crassostrea gigas in the 1970s. A recent assessment of its distribution shows that it can be found from the North Sea to the Mediterranean shores, resulting in some conflicts, due to its high density.
