AB L'étude des fonds sublittoraux à proximité du site de Flamanville a été abordée au cours des études d'avant projet (1976) et de projet (1977 - 1979) dans le but d'appréhender les peuplements benthiques. Compte tenu de la nature grossière des fonds, la reconnaissance(figure 1) a été réalisée à l'aide d'un engin trainant susceptible d'échantillonner de manière semi-quantitative sur une large variété de substrats: la drague Rallier du Baty. Si l'on exclut les fonds rocheux situés à proximité immédiate de la côte, et sur lesquels aucune information n'a pu être recueillie, deux types de peuplements ont été distingués.
AB The study of the sublittoral bottoms near the Flamanville site has been tackled in the pilot studies (1976) and project studies (1977 - 1979) in the aim of assessing benthic populations. Given the coarse nature of the sea bed, the identification (figure 1) was carried out using a towed tool susceptible of sampling in a semi-quantitative way on a wide variety of substrates: a Rallier du Baty drag. Apart from the rocky bottoms lying right next to the coast, on which no information could be collected, two types of populations have been identified.
