AB Ce document décrit la méthodologie mise en oeuvre dans les campagnes d'évaluation directe du stock de coquilles Saint-Jacques en Manche orientale (COMOR). La stratégie appliquée est un échantillonnage aléatoire stratifié à niveaux où le nombre de prélèvements par strate est corrélé à la variance des indices de jeunes coquilles de l'année précédente. La connaissance des paramètres d'efficacité et de sélectivité de l'engin de prélèvement (drague bretonne à volet) est à la base de l'estimation des indices d'abondance, par groupe d'âge et par strate, et de la biomasse disponible. Le calcul de ces différents estimateurs est détaillé. La technique du "bootstrap" non paramétrique permet enfin de calculer leurs intervalles de confiance.
AB The methodology used for obtaining absolute abundance indices for Eastern Channel scallop is described in this paper. For the survey (COMOR), stratified multi-stage random sampling is used. The number of sampled units is computed based on variance estimates from the last survey. Knowledge of gear (Brittany dredge with a diving plate) selectivity and efficiency parameters is required for estimating total exploitable biomass and absolute abundance indices by age and strata. Details of the mathematical development of all estimators are given. A non parametric bootstrap provides confidence intervals for all estimates.
