AB Le Conseil International pour l'Exploration de la Mer tenait en 1947 une réunion spéciale destinée à l'étude des effets de la guerre sur la constitution des stocks de poissons. D'une manière générale les travaux présentés constataient que l'augmentation du rendement de la pêche après les hostilités était due au repeuplement des fonds par des poissons plus nombreux et d'une taille moyenne plus élevée que ceux pêchés avant guerre et que cette augmentation s'étendait à toutes les eaux européennes. AB In 1947, the International Council for the Exploitation of Oceans held a special meeting to study the effects of the war on the constitution of the fish stocks. In their broad lines, all the works showed that the increase of the fishing performances after the war was the consequence of the repopulation of the bottoms by fishes which were more numerous and bigger than those fished before the war, and that this increase spread throughout all European waters.
