Résumé en anglais |
The sterolic composition of Caulerpa taxifolia (Vahl) C. Agardh (Ulvophyceae), a green alga recently introduced in the Mediterranean sea, is characterized by the presence of a major sterol, clionasterol, with small amounts of cholesterol, 24-methyl-cholesterol, 24-methylene-cholesterol, 24Z-ethylidene-cholesterol. The clionasterol present in some other Caulerpa species seems to be a chemotaxonomic marker in the genus Caulerpa. |
