AB Une pêche locale est pratiquée avec de petites embarcations aux abords immédiats de l'île de la Réunion (Océan Indien). Conditions d'exercice, espèces commercialisées, engins et bateaux utilisés sont décrits. Après un historique de l'évolution de la production depuis 1949, la situation en 1988 est exposée. Ce bilan constitue le résultat d'un année de suivi de l'activité par un échantillonnage sur les sites de débarquement dont la méthodologie est présentée en annexe. Il est prolongé par une analyse de l'économie des unités de petite pêche qui met en évidence de grandes possibilités de disparité de revenus au sein de la flottille. 
AB A local fishery is carried out by small boats in the immediate vicinity of the island of Réunion (Indian Ocean). Practising conditions, species marketed, fishing gears and boats are described. Following the historical trend in production since 1949, the 1988 situation is detailed. Data result from a one year sampling survey on landing spots of which methodology is annexed. Investigations are continued by an economical analysis of the fishery showing great possibilities of incarne disparities among the fishing boats.
