With the hatchery output increasing, more attention needs to be focussed on broodstocks performance both in terms of quantity and viability of eggs. The techniques of shifting the environmental conditions allow a production of eggs all year round. However, egg quality tends to be highly variable. This paper examines over a two-year period, the improvement in egg quality and its consequences on the production of larvae by a strict management of spawners.
