In that matter, the super(14)C Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) allows unprecedented sensitivity on the dating of the foraminifera which are used for isotopic analysis. The partial differential super(13)C of the benthic foraminifera is a good indicator of the changes in bottom water ventilation. We present here a comparison of the changes in the oxygen and carbon isotopic records of benthic and planktonic foraminifera in 2 cores from the north west slope of the Pacific Ocean, along the Japan continental margin.
