Introduction

In this material, we summarized the detailed methods we used for detecting and attributing anthropogenic influence on air-sea carbon fluxes. 
Besides, evaluation of the RECCAP simulation versus historical CMIP5 hindcast is described as well as the sensitivity test to assess the robustness of our Detection & Attribution procedure.

This files contains 5 sections:

1- Models and simulations description
This section present the simulation used in this study, i.e., the whole RECCAP ensemble and the various CMIP5 simulation (and their respective models) employed to decompose the anthropogenic forcing.

2- Methods
This sections provides additional information on the methods used in this study

3- Detection of the ALL forcing
This section present the evaluation of the CMIP5 hindmost (so called "historical") with the RECCAP reconstructions.

4- Evaluation of the fits as estimated by the TLS algorithm
This section deals with the evaluation/robustness off the TLS fit performed in this study.

5- Sensitivity of D&A results to data pre-processing
This section deals with the sensitivity to the ensemble size and the pre-processing procedure.
