Sysif is a deep-towed VHR seismic data acquisition system/ It includes a deep-towed acoustic source (220-1050 Hz) and a 100 m long multi channel streamer. To retrieve the most information from the seismic data, accurate receiver locations are needed, based on positioning and inertial sensors : a location error of less than 30 cm is required. This study includes an analysis of the streamer dynamics based on numerical simulation and a comparison between the simulation results and the sensor derived geometry.
