AB Afin de contribuer de manière pertinente aux attentes de la société pour une gestion durable des pêcheries, la recherche halieutique doit examiner globalement le système pêche ; à chaque ressource renouvelable unitaire placée dans un écosystème sont appliquées une ou plusieurs techniques de pêche (système de production) par la mobilisation d’intrants humains (système d’exploitation) modulée plus ou moins efficacement par le système de régulation. L’étude des articulations de ces systèmes constitue un des défis majeurs pour les halieutes (biologistes, économistes) leur permettant de fournir des diagnostics intégrés aux gestionnaires en charge de la mise en place de schémas d’aménagement. Dans ce document, après avoir précisé quelques définitions et concepts, nous présenterons les méthodologies adoptées conduisant à l’élaboration de typologies de flottilles concernant les navires de la façade Mer du nord Manche Atlantique, en particulier celles mises en oeuvre dans le cadre des restitutions annuelles du Système d’Informations Halieutiques de l’Ifremer et celle établie selon les critères requis dans le  cadre du programme européen de collecte de données en appui à la Politique Commune des Pêches. 
AB In order to contribute in a relevant way to the expectations of society for a sustainable management of fisheries, fisheries research must globally examine the fishing system; to each unitary renewable resource placed in an ecosystem are applied one or several fishing techniques (production system) by the mobilization of human inputs (exploitation system) modulated more or less efficiently by the regulation system. The study of the articulations of these systems constitutes one of the major challenges for fisheries scientists (biologists, economists) enabling them to provide integrated diagnoses to the managers in charge of the implementation of management plans. In this document, after having clarified some definitions and concepts, we will present the methodologies adopted leading to the elaboration of fleet typologies concerning the vessels of the North Sea-Antlantic Channel, in particular those implemented within the framework of the annual returns of the Ifremer Fisheries Information System and that established according to the criteria required within the framework of the European program for the collection of data to support the Common Fisheries Policy.
