AB Le LM 2018 était la deuxième réunion basée sur le règlement 2017/1004 relatif au cadre de collecte des données (DCF). La première, qui s'est tenue en 2017, a confirmé le rôle confié à LM, qui consiste à veiller à ce que les groupes de coordination régionaux se coordonnent entre eux et avec la Commission, lorsque des questions concernent plusieurs régions marines, conformément à l'article 9, paragraphe 6. Officiellement, la réunion de liaison est un sous-groupe du groupe d'experts de la Commission sur les questions de collecte de données. En 2018, pour la première fois, une réunion d'une journée a été consacrée à un échange avec les utilisateurs finaux (TdR 1 et 2). La CGPM, le CIEM, le CSTEP et le JRC (dans son rôle de gestion des appels de données du CSTEP) ont participé à la réunion, et la CTOI a envoyé ses informations pertinentes par courrier électronique. La Commission, par l'intermédiaire de son unité internationale, a également présenté les informations de la CICTA et de la CTOI.   
AB LM 2018 was the second meeting based on the Data Collection Framework (DCF) Regulation 2017/1004. The first, held in 2017, confirmed the role given to LM, to ensure that Regional coordination groups coordinate with each other and with the Commission, where issues affect several marine regions, according to the article 9(6). Formally, the Liaison meeting is a subgroup of the Commission expert group on data collection issues. In 2018, for the first time, a one day meeting was dedicated to an exchange with end-users (ToR 1 and 2). GFCM, ICES, STECF and the JRC (in its role of handling the STECF data calls) participated in the meeting, and IOTC sent its relevant information by email. The Commission, through its international unit also presented the information from ICCAT and IOTC.
