Contribution a l'etude de la crevette rose Palaemon serratus (Pennant). Exploitation, biologie.

The authors first examines the economical importance of the common prawn fishery and studied its geographical distribution, the fishing gear and methods and the fishing effort and fishery yield. He then gives data on the biology and ecology of P. serratus : size-weight relationships, relative growth, longevity, quantitative repartition (sex-ratio), stock and mortality rate estimation by marking. Finally, he studies the reproduction of the common prawn.
