Le genre Storthyngura Vanhöffen, 1914, largement représenté à l'échelle de l'océan mondial, compte 5 espèces en Atlantique nord : S. atlantica Beddard, 1885; S. truncata Richardson, 1908; S. mignispinis Richardson, 1908; S. vemae Menzies, 1962 et S. shanoi Menzies, 1962. Lors de la campagne Noratlante du N.O., "Jean Charcot" (août - septembre 1969) nous avons récolté une nouvelle espèce de ce genre dont la description fait l'objet de ce travail. [OCR NON CONTROLE] |

Genus Storthyngura Vanhöffen, 1914, largely represented throughout the world's oceans, is comprised of 5 species in the North Atlantic Ocean: S. atlantica Beddard, 1885; S. truncata Richardson, 1908; S. mignispinis Richardson, 1908; S. vemae Menzies, 1962 and S. shanoi Menzies, 1962. During the Noratlante cruise of the R.S. "Jean Charcot" (August - September 1969) we collected a new species belonging to this genus, whose description is the focus of this work. |
