La présence périodique du Thon Rouge (Thunnus Thynnus L.) en Mer du Nord et dans l'Atlantique Nord-Est, s'est encore confirmée au cours des deux dernières années 1927-1928. Leur apparition a pu être constatée : de Juin à Décembre, aux lieux et époques où nous les avons déjà signalés (1), et principalement sur la côte Sud-Ouest d'Irlande, au large des Blaskets, en Juillet ; sur la côte Nord d'Irlande (Klondyke Grounds), où ils furent particulièrement abondants en Juillet et Août 1928 ; sur la côte Ouest d'Ecosse, en Juillet ; sur les côtes Sud et Ouest de Norvège de Juillet à Octobre ; dans le Skagerack et le Kattegat, aux mêmes dates, et enfin en Mer du Nord, au large de la côte Est d'Angleterre, de Juillet à Octobre. En Novembre et Décembre, les chalutiers travaillant sur la Grande Sole, aux accores du plateau continental, pouvaient les rencontrer par bandes s'ébattant en surface. [OCR NON CONTRÔLE] |

The recurring presence of Red tuna (Thunnus Thynnus L.) in the North Sea and the North-East Atlantic has once again been confirmed throughout the last two years of 1927-1928. They were spotted from June to December at the times and places where they had previously been observed (1), and mainly on the south-west coast of Ireland, off the Blaskets, in July; on the north coast of Ireland (Klondyke Grounds) where they were particularly abundant in July and August 1928; on the west coast of Scotland in July; on the south and west coasts of Norway from July to October; in the Skagerack and the Kattegat during the same period, and finally in the North Sea off the east coast of England from July to October. In November and December the trawlers working on the Grande Sole on the continental shelf could see groups of them frolicking around at the surface. |
