Activité traditionnelle sur le littoral breton, la pêche de l'Araignée de mer a pris depuis quelques années une importance accrue, non pas tant du fait d'une augmentation des captures que de la diminution considérable des apports en homards et langoustes, consécutive à la fermeture de certains lieux de pêche habituels (Iles Anglo-Normandes, Irlande, Angleterre) et à l'épuissement des autres.

A traditional activity on the Breton coast, spider crab fishing has grown more important over the past few years, not due to an increase of the number of catches but to a significant decrease in the number of lobsters and crayfishes brought to the market, following the closing of some fishing areas (Anglo-Norman Isles, Ireland, England) and the exhaustion of others. |
