| Résumé | L'étude intégrée du Bassin d'Arcachon comporte plusieurs volets. Certains participants se sont employés à étudier les modifications des contraintes s'exerçant sur l'écosystème, d'ordre naturel (météorologiques, hydrologiques et édaphiques) et humain (activités professionnelles et touristiques relatives au Bassin et à son environnement immédiat). Notre contribution s'attache, pour sa part, à l'évaluation de la richesse biologique du milieu, c'est à dire à l'examen du compartiment vivant (animal et végétal) appartenant à cet écosystème. Ce travail a consisté à réunir puis à ordonner les données concernant les peuplements floristiques et faunistiques aquatiques du Bassin. Lorsque les observations relatives à un groupe étaient suffisamment cohérentes pour entreprendre des comparaisons temporelles, nous avons tenté de caractériser et d'expliquer son évolution au cours du temps. Toutefois, il est des circonstances où cette analyse est rendue impossible par la disparité des informations relatives aux différentes périodes de l'histoire. Dans ces cas-là, notre travail s'est limité à compiler les données existantes. |

| Résumé en anglais | The integrated study of the Arcachon Basin has several components. Some participants studied changes in the constraints on the ecosystem, natural (weather, water and soil) and human (professional activities and tourism on the basin and its immediate environment). Our contribution focuses, for its part, the assessment of the biological richness of the environment, ie to consider the living compartment (animal and plant) within this ecosystem. This work has been to unite and to order the data on aquatic flora and fauna populations of the Basin. When observations on a group were consistent enough to undertake comparisons across time, we have attempted to characterize and explain its evolution over time. However, there are circumstances where this analysis is rendered impossible by the disparity of information relating to different periods of history. In these cases, our work was limited to compile existing data. |
