Dans le cadre de la mission de création d’un Parc Naturel Marin sur le Bassin d’Arcachon, une estimations des stocks d'huîtres présents dans la Baie a été réalisée en 2011 par le bureau d'études Océanide, en collaboration avec l’Agence des Aires Marines Protégées, l’Institut Français de Recherche pour l’Exploitation de la Mer (IFREMER) – Station d’Arcachon et la Direction Départementale des Territoires et de la Mer de Gironde – Délégation à la Mer et au Littoral (DML). L'évaluation du stock d'huîtres en élevage a été effectuée à partir des déclarations de production des conchyliculteurs, prévues dans le cahier des charges des concessions, recueillies en 2010 par la DML. L'estimation des stocks d'huîtres sauvages a été effectuée à partir d'un échantillonnage terrain stratifié à deux degrés. Au total, 82 500 t d’huîtres sont présentes sur la totalité du Bassin d’Arcachon, se répartissant entre 16 600 t d’huîtres en élevage (en 2009) (production annuelle apparente d'environ 6 000 t) et 65 000 t d’huîtres sauvages (en juin 2011). |

Within the framework of the mission of creation of a “Parc Naturel Marin" in the Bay of Arcachon, estimations of the oysters stocks in the Bay were realized in 2011 by the engineering consulting firm Océanide, in association with the “Agence des Aires Marines Protégées”, the French Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea ( IFREMER) - Station of Arcachon and the Departmental Direction of Territories and the Sea of Gironde – “Délégation à la Mer et au Littoral (DLM)”. The evaluation of the stock of cultivated oysters was made from production statements of the shellfish farmers, collected in 2010 by the DML. The estimation of the stocks of wild oysters was made using a stratified two degrees field sampling. Finally, 82 500 t of oysters are present on the totality of the Bay of Arcachon, dividing up between 16 600 t of cultivated oysters (in 2009) (annual production about 6 000 t) and 65 000 t of wild oysters (in June, 2011). |
