Ce travail a pour objectif de tester un protocole d’échantillonnage pour définir un indice de l’état de conservation pour l’habitat récif en milieu rocheux circalittoral pour caractériser les peuplements benthiques à partir de prospections sur 4 sites localisés dans la zone natura 2000 « côte basque rocheuse et extension au large ». En raison de la complexité de cet habitat et des lacunes en termes de connaissance, une analyse du protocole et de ses modalités d’application est nécessaire. En parallèle, des propositions d’optimisations sont nécessaires pour la pertinence des informations fournies et pour appréhender un éventuel état de conservation.

The purpose of this report is to test a sampling protocol to define a conservation status index for reef habitat in circalittoral environments to characterize benthic populations from surveys at 4 sites located in the Natura 2000 area “côte Basque rocky and extension offshore”. Due to the complexity of this habitat and the gaps in knowledge, an analysis of the protocol and its modalities is necessary. In parallel, optimization proposals are necessary for the relevance of the information provided and for apprehending a possible conservation status.
