This text is the first part of an article focused on the scientific approaches in building forward-looking studies. After some basic definitions and historical reminders and examples, this text calls back the needs to anticipate the change. It specifies this need with some keywords on what the forward-looking analysis can offer by underlining that the sea and its values are exactly a fundamental support there…. It completes these elements by philosophic definitions of the prospective. It clarifies too that the scientific analysis can help to build a forward-looking reflexion on the basis of three foundations.
